Lilburn

Known for its high-performing schools, the city of Lilburn in Gwinnett County is a favorite among those searching for a true suburban retreat at a reasonable price. Families flock here to enjoy the area’s lower cost of living, as well as its proximity to major shopping malls, large community parks and the recreational and family opportunities they afford. Most of the homes are found in relatively new subdivisions, which range in price, lot sizes and architectural styles. While Lilburn is conveniently located about 25 miles northeast of Atlanta off of I-85 along U.S. Highway 29, a car is necessary for navigating this suburb. It is a short drive to Stone Mountain Park and the cities of Duluth and Lawrenceville. Lilburn’s town center, called Old Town Lilburn, is small but has an historic feel and is in the process of being revitalized. City Hall, along with Lilburn City Park, the Camp Creek Greenway Trail and a host of quaint shopping and dining venues are now connected via new downtown sidewalks..
